BET Award winner Stormzy{@Stormzy1} delivers speech at the Oxford University | #DJSTYCHLive

When you think of Oxford University, you’re probably not the only one who doesn’t automatically think grime artists.
But you should. BET Award winner Stormzy gave a lecture at The Oxford Guild to a lucky audience of a few hundred with thousands watching live via streaming site Periscope.

The musician who looked pretty excited about the invitation earlier shared this;
Very very proud to announce that I have been invited to speak at the prestigious Oxford University next Monday. I was a little smart arse in school lol and my teachers, my mum and even myself were really hoping that I would one day study at Oxford. I had the grades and academic ability to…but I eventually chose music instead of a more “academic” career path. So to be asked to come down and speak to the gifted students at the uni is a beautiful coincidence. My mums gonna be super proud of this one, your boy didn’t get to go Oxford but it all turned out alright in the end.
Stormzy has a say on the #BritsSoWhite and bigged up Skepta and Krept and Konan – and said “Britain is not just One Direction, Little Mix and James Bay.”
He also talked about hi=ow disgusting it feels when he uses the N Word;
“It’s horrible, it’s disgusting, but I’m the worst. I don’t even wanna do a N word count in my lyrics. I’m trying to stop. It’s not cool”.
Recent Oxford University addresses include speeches by Kanye West and Shia LaBeouf.
