#EntNews: Musiga prez. Obour finally replies Shatta Wale

Dancehall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah-Jnr, Shatta Wale went gaga on Twitter some few days ago when he took the MUSIGA president, Bice Osei aka Obour to the cleaners.

In a series of tweets, Shatta Wale talked about the fact that Obour has a fraudulent administration, Obour uses MUSIGA money to fly his friends to America, Obour is incompetent, a gold-digger, and the fact that musicians are crying that they don’t enjoy the fruit of their labour and more.
Well, Obour on the Pundit show on GHONE TV, has responded to Shatta Wale’s allegations. According to

Obour, it seems to him that Shatta Wale doesn’t live in Ghana because he’s done a lot since he assumed office in 2011 till now.

According to Obour again, since he assumed office, he instituted Ageing Musicians Welfare fund, he initiated Ghana music week among others.

“I think when it comes to music and development, we have to look at it with broad eyes. Development is a process, and when a musician feels like the plight of musicians has to change, fine but development doesn’t change overnight.”

“Since I assumed office, I’ve made sure I delivered everything I put across in my Manifesto. I led a research into the music industry’s contribution to the GDP and now, we all know the percentage GH music contributes to our GDP. I again, through Midland Savings and Loans has made loans accessible to musicians. We didn’t have festivals, a lot of musicians sit at home not playing shows, now we have the Ghana Music Week.”

Obour continued to tout his achievements. He again disclosed, “the MUSIGA Grand Ball to raise money for the ageing musicians is there and now, we just introduced the MUSIGA academy and so to musicians feeling

I’ve not done anything, what I can tell them is that, there can’t be a quick fix, development is a process.”
