ALJAHZEERA PART WAYS WITH EX KUMASI ASANTE KOTOKO C.E.O, MR. HERBET MENSAH'S XLIVE AFRICA RADIO STATION.



Michael Marc Wood mostly known in showbiz circles as Dj-Aljahzeera is a young entrepreneur, researcher and a radio broadcaster.  A well connected personality with diverse global musicians and the originator of the Urban Xpress Hip-hop Show, out of his Psychoteq Media brand which conceptualize educative & entertaining radio/TV programs.
Before moving to the online station Xlive Africa Radio, which began to operate after the sale of Xfm 95.1, he was previously engaged with North American stations such as Island Beats, Bluntlife and then Radio Universe 105.7fm in Accra, where he hosted his syndicated weekly "Urban Xpress Hiphop Show", a well endorsed eccentric radio hip hop show by top notch artistes from diverse genre, such as: LL Cool J, Cassidy, Kevin Lyttle, HHP, Kardinal Offishal, Shawty Lo, Keko, Cindy Rulz, Mr Vegas, Jah Vinci, Bunji Garlin, Stanley Enow, Zeus, Blitz de Ambassador, Teflon, Akua Naru, Major Lazer, Pilato, and many more.
 The sleek, poised and urbane presenter, Dj Aljahzeera, brought to his global listeners in one year, glamorous exclusive interviews with hip hop celebrities such as: Navio - Uganda, Mims - USA, Rich Homie Quan & ErikKingG - USA, Brian Soko (Grammy Award winning producer) - Zimbabwe, Lil Saint - Trinidad & Tobago, Ifani - South Africa, Jidenna - Nigeria /USA, Cassidy - USA, Tracey Lee (American Showbiz Attorney) - USA, J-Black - Namibia, Curtis Young (son of Dr. Dre) - USA, AKA - South Africa, Xtatic - Kenya, Emmy Gee - Nigeria, Psycholution - Swaziland, K.O - South Africa, Stanley Enow - Cameroon, Bigtril - Uganda, Destiny Rydas - Australia, Caesar Motsoako - Botswana, Scientific - Liberia.
Hosting the Groove Xtra Show on Xlive Africa, a cosmopolitan mid-morning show niched at indigenous African and urban music genres, fashion, technology, health, business, informative global news and celebrity interviews from June 2015 to September 2016 saw him interviewing Jamaican Reggae Industry Association (JARIA) board member and director for constitution & advocacy Joan Webley as well releasing, first in Africa songs from Jamaican dancehall veteran, Mr. Vegas, Virgin Island Grammy award winning duo, Rock City, Trinidad & Tobago soca Queen, Fay Ann Lyon, South African house disc jockey, DJ Ganyani amongst others.
He is also an ambassador of several music styles, one of the proponents of the new Caribbean music sub-genre "Afro Soca" which is a fusion of afrobeats and soca from Africa and the Caribbean respectively, erupting in 2014,  revolving and propelling tourism, unity among artistes in the Afro-Caribbean diaspora.
In a statement issued on his Instagram page on 7th September 2016, reading:
"It's hard to say goodbye to the past when the future arrives right in time knocking at your window, door and all vantage points of your domicile.
It isn't subtle to say goodbye to Xlive Africa Radio (from June 2015 - September 2016), its distinguished team members, it’s "listeners" at this moment, upon taking this vaulting step. I wish them all the best in their varying pursuits.

It's time for a new challenge as well pick up the pieces and uniformly exude pure excellence. To my family, loved ones, friends, admirers and acquaintances who yearn for more, a timely announcement of my new station will follow soon".

It is very unclear what conditions lead him in exiting the current Ghana Rugby Football Union president's media outfit. More updates will follow soon.
