#DJSTYCHLive || Kin Dee{@KinDeeBeat} Claims Musicians Love One Way Beat

It is often assumed that, sound engineers who are in high-demand at a particular period of time tend to produce similar beats due to pressures being mounted on them by musicians to finish up their works in a jiffy, but fastest rising Ghanaian sound engineer, Kin Dee, has disclosed quite the contrary.
According to the beat maker, the major problem of sound engineers in Ghana is the way musicians generate a sudden love for a particular beat of their colleague musicians and insists a producer prepares a similar one for them.
“People normally say a producer with more clients end up playing one way beat for the musicians. It’s not we the producers who play one way beat because there’s pressure on us. It’s the musicians themselves who ask for similar beats their colleagues used in popular songs so if we the producers don’t add creativity to the works, they end up being the same,” Kin Dee revealed to the Flex newspaper.
Kin Dee is currently the hottest producer in Ghana. He believes God’s favor upon his life and his spectacular talent in beat making is the reason why both A-list and rising musicians troop into his studios in large numbers to work with him. Born Kwabena Ofosu Ankomah, he adopted the name Kin Dee, because he is like a King at what he does and just like Disco lights, he shines everywhere he goes. Hence, the Kin for King and Dee for Disco.
Kin Dee started his sound engineering career around 1999, but made his works official in the year 2004. He said much was not heard of him in the mentioned years due to his location as of those times, until he relocated to the capital about four years ago. “People did not hear my works that much in those years because I was in the Brong Ahafo region. Three or four years ago, my friend like a brother, Ramz Nic, came up with the idea of us moving to Accra for a lucrative music recording business,” he narrated.

Today, Kin Dee and Ramz Nic head the famous Excel Recording Studio situated at North Kaneshie, a suburb of Accra. The recording studio, he said, is a joint ownership which is made up of himself, Ramz and a couple of international sponsors. Delving into his market and consistency in the near future, Kin Dee stated that, just like other old producers release a couple of hits once a while, he will work harder in order not to fade out in the approaching years.
Kay Bee, Obengmix, Kaywa, Hammer, Appietus, Zap Mallet, Morris BabyFace, Dr. Dre, Cool, amongst others are the music producers Kin Dee gathers inspiration from. Kin Dee is the versatile producer behind Guru’s Bonsam Ani, RuffnSmooth’s Send Your Fire, Mzbel’s Legelege, Yaa Pono’s Amen, Kofi Kinaata’s Susuka, Ex-Doe’s Sika and many other great songs.
Ghana’s talented Kin Dee who just earned himself a nomination in this year’s VGMAS, has affirmed to making quiet a fortune as a sound engineer and is therefore urging every up and coming beat maker to keep on trying, because God’s time is the best.
